New American Pathways is an Atlanta based nonprofit with the mission of helping refugees and Georgia thrive. The goal is for new Americans in Georgia to become successful, contributing, and welcomed members of Georgia’s communities.
As part of the Cooperworks team we developed the name, new identity and multiple videos documenting the families that are now on new paths to leading fulfilling lives as American citizens.
Imagine a relaxed sophisticated atmosphere that is personal and engaging. You would feel at home in a tux ordering champaign at the bar or in jeans sipping a beer. The atmosphere is local but the service is world class. The legendary Ritz Carlton management team lead by Horst Schultze guided Solis to a worldwide rollout and we were selected to craft the brand. We worked closely with the team to provide Identity, writing, digital, collateral, in room, art direction of site photography and video.
We helped launch identities for Solis properties in Adelboden Switzerland, Lough Eske Ireland, Jamaica, Sochi Russia (olympics) and Shenzhen China.
Articulate Change is a grass-roots effort and online platform created to achieve social equality in the world by cultivating one million best friendships between people who are different from one another. The multifaceted organization strives to impact areas where social equality and change are most necessary, starting with race, and a focus on education, business, philanthropy, and community.
My wife Jenifer is a partner in this timely, important idea and I was honored to contribute the identity.
A tech startup charting new paths in video engagement was ready to move to the next business level. A renaming and full rebranding program resulted in successful funding, additional staff, new offices , and amazing opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. As part of the brand development I designed a new 8000 sq. ft office space for onQ located at Avalon in Alpharetta GA. The project included space planning, custom furniture design, all finishes, lighting and graphics.
Hesperus is a the brightest star in the western sky, a fitting name for one of the best luxury hospitality planning firms in the world. Hesperus provides a complete suite of services from land planning and brand creation through construction and services management. The new identity had to be aspirational but also reflect the convergence of technical skill and planning they are known for. We provided logo design, writing, tagline, website and presentation decks.
Ki Furniture based in Green Bay Wisconsin was well established as a contract facilities furniture manufacturer. We were tasked with adding a higher design centric image to the company. We worked with the sales and industrial design team to re-imagine furniture lines, finishes, photography styles, catalogues, Neocon showroom design, advertising and video. Ki saw a 50%+ increase in sales during our 6 year tenure.
The Museum School of Avondale Estates is a K-8 public charter school which is the product of a grassroots effort on the part of dedicated parents to bring an innovative educational opportunity to DeKalb County. I’m proud to say that my wife Jenifer was one of the founders and the driving force to adopt the Museum School concept. It is a proven model of learning through personal exploration and hands-on experience fostering exploration, discovery and creativity.
The school won the 2019 Charter School of the Year Award from the Georgia Charter Schools Association.
Whiteboard is a data driven marketing firm based in Philadelphia that focuses on higher education. As part of a larger Cooperworks engagement we were tasked to design a new identity that had to speak to the integrated processes they implement to tackle complex problems. Typically we design 5-10 concepts for new identities and we love it when the client feels they could easily approve multiple concepts. In this case the spherical logo won by a narrow margin.
Big Orchard is a content delivery group focused on social media. The group will congregate writer and visual storytellers from around the world to provide unique perspectives generating results for non profits and socially active corporations.
Asterope is based in Austin Texas and the CEO/founder, Dariush Rad is a long time associate and approached us to help launch a new company. Asterope holds a number of patents for technology that is truly transforming the instrument and audio cable market segment.
We worked closely with the team on all aspects of brand building including identity design, business presentations, web site design, product packaging, collateral, exhibit design, video/animation, print and online advertising. To date the Asterope brand is gaining traction nationally as a premier sound technology provider and if you are a musician you should check out the cables – they will truly open your ears and your mind!
When one of the top three healthcare payment companies in the US with a 20 year track record decides to reinvent themselves top to bottom the opportunities are exciting and pressure-packed. Working with CEO Kevin Arner for the second time we crafted a new brand language for PaySpan expressed in a wide range of media helping to drive sales at a record pace and position the company for a successful buyout.
Melia helped refine the brand language for the Capella Hotel Group worldwide. Led by legendary hotelier Horst Schulze the parent company developed 2 hospitality concepts Solis and Capella as well as a number of independent locations. We designed a worldwide identity standards guide for Solis in the United States, Asia and Europe, video and advertising for Capella as well as the corporate web site.
We also wrote, directed and edited a suite of videos for Capella’s premiere property in Singapore setting the standard for brand storytelling.
